Jack & Dr. Lela began as a school project. In my very first week of graduate school, my professor gave us an assignment to create something, anything, explaining what Occupational Therapy is. So I decided to write a children’s book. I’m not an artist by any means and illustrating wasn’t really the important part at the time. So I scribbled out some stick people on my ipad and called it a day. I never planned for it to be more than just a school project, but after much encouragement from my family and classmates I decided to publish my book. To my surprise, people actually bought it. I was proud of my book, but I was still a little embarassed by my illustrations so I decided to seek out an illustrator. I hired the incredibly talented Natasya to turn my dreams into a reality and she exceeded all my expectations.
